Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa have always had, and will always have a lasting influence on us and our family. While Grandpa watches over us from heaven now, we know that he's still there. Meanwhile, Grandma is keeping busy and enjoying life. She has a few part-time jobs, yet is still always there for us as a family. She never ceases to amaze us with her energy and zest for life! She love to organize family get-togethers... we always have at least one at Christmas time and one during the summer. Much of the family lives close, so it seems like there's always something going one.

Beth & Alan

Beth is the oldest and has been a little like a 2nd mom to Guy. She and Alan are so nice and welcoming of anyone who's in need. They're all very close as a family and are a great example to us. They have 6 kids, 3 of whom are now married and off on their own: Scott (who married Laura and have 3 kids of their own... Emma, Alan, and Logan), Dan (married Lesli and now have a cute little baby named Thomas), Andrea (married to Dean, with baby boy Tanner), Eric, Jacob, and Kevin. Grandma also made it into the picture, above. :)

Ruth & Dennis

Ruth and Dennis are the best. They have a loving relationship and have taught their 7 children (Russell, now engaged, Ryan, Devon, Jessica, Tacy, Jeffrey, and Corinn) to be very self-sufficient. Cleaning, cooking, building things... you name it. They're a very industrious family and we love that we can go to Ruth with all of our food storage questions and needs. Dennis is a very hard worker and a good person to talk to. They are always very welcoming of everyone into their home.

Jean

Jean is one of the most beautiful and caring people we know. She's a hard worker and is enjoying a career in school photography, among other things. She's down-to-earth, fun, and openly honest... and has 4 awesome kids: Hannah, Max, Grace, and Ivy. They're all very close and a great support to their mom.

Spence & Jannie

Spence and Jannie have been married close to 20 years now. Whether they know it or not, they've shown us great examples of what a happy and healthy marriage brings. And, of course, they've got some great parenting skills with the 7 that they've had to practice on! :) Micah, Aimee, Caleb, Josh, Nate, Libby, and Bonnie June are happy kids and close as siblings. Spence is an Institute teacher for our church and Jannie keeps busy with the day-to-day demands that 7 children bring.

Marie & Wayne

Marie and Wayne recently moved back to the states after living in Taiwan for several years. They have 7 kids: Andy, Tyler, Katie, Brian, Robert, Trevor, and Megan. Marie is a supermom and is such an example of staying young and making life fun. Wayne is a good friend and a great person to talk to.

Doug & Tracy

Doug and Tracy are just about the nicest people we know... they'd really do anything for you. Doug, the hilarious and so sincere one, has a really successful career in computers and is such a great dad. Tracy, in addition to being an great photographer and interior designer, is the cool mom to their 5 kids: Zach, Sarah, Emily, Sam, and Rachel. These guys are so easy-going and we LOVE our late-night game nights together!

Sue & Justin

Sue is my closest sibling in age and we are great friends. She and Justin were married one year before Kristin and I were, which puts them at 8 years this summer. The have 4 smart and funny kids: Abbie, Ellie, Eden, and Ammon. I think Justin was really glad to round off the family with a boy at last. ;)

We admire Sue and Justin so much because right now Justin is serving in the Navy overseas while Sue is heading up the house and kids by herself for a little while. These guys are so much fun to be around!
